Decoding Cannabinoids' Impact on Health

The lab’s main focus aligns with our research, and how we aim to uncover how the components influence cancer subtypes, inflammatory ailments, and disorders of the nervous system, encompassing conditions such as epilepsy, Alzheimer's, and sleep disorders. This rigorous exploration employs genetically modified mice and an array of cell lines to dissect the intricate molecular mechanisms that underpin the functionality of cannabinoids.

Our capable team of experts collaborate effectively to achieve results, enhancing our understanding of the complex landscape of cannabinoids and their potential for human health. The overarching goal is to unlock their complete therapeutic potential.

Alongside the on-site laboratory cannabis research, Dr. Meiri collaborates with cannabis cultivators, clinicians, major manufacturers, and distributors of medical cannabis. This joint effort seeks to bring about significant change in cannabis-based treatments. Notably, Dr. Meiri continues to lead the “Cannabis Database Project” and is currently engaged in eight clinical trials spanning diverse cannabis treatment applications, spanning from colon disease and pain prevention to cancer treatment and epilepsy.

Running parallel to these research endeavours, Dr. Meiri's main interest lies in exploring how cannabinoids can potentially fight tumours. This includes studying their ability to hinder metastasis and promote cell death through phytocannabinoids.
